Training

The only competitive advantage in the future will be the knowledge and skills. Training can significantly enhance capabilities of public functionaries both individually and collectively, to discharge their duties better. Such capability building is necessary to introduce greater efficiencies within Government, and to improve the quality of services delivered to citizens. In this sense training plays a vital role.

The Department is imparting various Training programmes through (3) Regional Training Centers (RTC) established one each at Hindupur of Ananthapur district, Shandnagar of Mahaboobnagar district and Bakkannapalem near Visakhapatnam. The objective of these training centers is to impart technical training to field staff to upgrade the skills and knowledge of the staff.

Besides, four Mobile Farmers Training Units (MFTUs) are established one each at Ananthapur, Chittoot, Karimnagar and Vizianagaram. These units are attached with a vehicle, video projector and audiovisual equipment. The MFTUs help to create awareness among the farming community on recommended package of practices like high yielding varieties of mulberry, disinfections with lime and bleaching powder, spacing, shoot and shelf rearing systems, pot incubation etc.
