Sri. Vanam llu Komuru, Village Mulugu Mandal in Warangal District.

He is a traditional Tasar rearer for the last 25 to 30years. He belongs to back ward class. He has been taking up all the (3) Tasar crops every year. The performance of the Tasar rearer was commendable during 2005-06. The first crop was a seed crop. He has brushed 200 dfls and harvested 10,500 Tasar cocoons with a productivity of 52 Tasar cocoons / one dfl and realized an amount of Rs. 10,500/-. Thus, over a period of 2 crops he has brushed 750 dfls and harvested 34,500 cocoons with an average yield 46 cocoons per dfl by realizing Rs. 26,700/- with in 90 days.

He has been assisted by the Department under Catalytic Development Programme of Central Silk Board by supply of nylon nets for conducting chawkie rearings, pruning saws and secatures and also disinfectants.
