          G.O.Ms.No.232, Finance (FR.I) Department, dated 16-9-2005.

ORDER:

 

          In the G.O., read above, orders were issued enhancing the maximum limit of enhancement of Earned Leave / Privilege Leave at the credit of a Government Servant on the date of retirement from 240 days to 300 days with effect from 16-09-2005.

 

          Government have received a few cases, wherein a clarification was sought as to whether the same facility of encashment of Earned Leave / Privilege Leave on retirement from service at 300 days may also be allowed in the cases of Government employees who die while in service.

 

          Government after careful consideration, hereby order that the orders issued in the G.O. read above are equally applicable to the cases of death while in service.

 

Necessary amendments to the relevant rules will be issued separately.

 

These orders shall come into force with effect from 16-09-2005.
